FAMILY TOGETHER

I love playing with mixed media products and memory maze chipboard works perfectly with many of the products out there on the market

I have painted the cherry blossom with Ranger distress paint and then stamped it with archival black ink for texture.

I broke my cherry blossom up so I could spread it over my layout.

I used leaves from a sheet set and again painted them with ranger distress paint, this time i used a few different colors.  I inked the edges with distress ink and then found a different stamp and stamped to add texture.

COOL IN THE POOL

Lately I have been trying to organise my many boxes of photos and trying to get them into albums.  I liked the pocket page idea as I can get more photos in and tell the story with little effort.  I keep it very simple and then have been adding 12 by 12 layouts to the albums to.

I cut this title up as it was all joined together and would not fit into the pockets.  I love how this has turned out,  you would not think I had cut them up.  As with the layout I have painted my chipboard to suit the colours of my photos.

Splash had a big splash attached to the H.  For the life of me I could not get the colouring right so I just removed it.  which also allowed me to attached the word down one of the cards instead of across.

My wee man is all grown up now but I remember this day so easily.  He was so excited to see all the water and no matter how hard I tried to actually get him in the pool,  he preferred  to play around it.  He is such a wee cutie.

I cut my chipboard up so I could spread it out over the two pockets to make it my focal point,
again this has just been painted.

ENJOY TODAY~IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE

I love how this turned out!  I had to Google image the van to see where the chrome went.  I then used and embossing pen and added the detail.  I embossed it with a silver embossing powder and then painted.  LOVE IT!

Tracey Campbell's October Reveal

Hello and welcome to my October reveal. I have been having a bit of a messy play this month with mist, gesso and my favourite chipboard this month.
My first layout is of my eldest daughter Bronte, I really wanted to have a beautiful feminine look to this layout I used the chipboard lace doily and the mirror. I used the doily as a mask with some gesso on the back ground layout before flipping it and stamping a light image of it onto the water painted cardstock.
For the mirror and the decorative boarder I used some gold leafing and carefully applied it to the chipboard to give a beautiful metallic look.

The chipboard word title Captured Moments was the final touch, I simply used my Gelatos and gave it a nice soft pink tone.

For this card I used some bright pink ink and simply inked the bear and the heart, as I did not tread the chipboard a lot of the brightness was taken out of the ink, giving it the perfect shade. For the chipboard tittle Precisions Baby I inked it yellow then applied a layer of fine yellow glitter over the top.

Precious Baby Girl Card

The finishing touchers were some washi tape and a bit of stamping.

For my final layout this month I wanted to create a pink and purple back ground to go with the t-shirt my youngest daughter Paige and her friend Ashley is wearing, but because they are still quiet young I wanted to create a fun feeling. So I applied random letters and number to the cardstock then attacked it with mist and gesso.
One of the main things I love about using chipboard is that it is so flexible and forgiving. I actually cut apart a word title that read "Little Mr Attitude" and changed it to suit my photo of Little Miss Attitudes, which is more suiting to these two in the photo.

These two are only a few months apart and both have huge beautiful personalities and get along so well. I wish we could catch up with them more now that they have moved away...hopefully they remain good friends forever.

Bright and beautiful board books ,are the key for September.

My next two pieces for September are board books.
Those that know me know how much I love books and off the page projects.I have used one of the  book kits to complete these projects.
There is a lot of ink and color used in the preparation of these books. I wanted them to be bright and it is important that you enjoy making them as well as the finished product.

This book is approx 7 inches  and makes quite a statement
The central pages of the book can be  made of paper or card with a unique system to allow little or no pressure on the spine its self.

This is the Kit just put book in the search bar to find it

I have used 60 and fabulous, these come in most ages. If you can't find it email us and we can make one for you

As with most books embellishments, ribbons and add-ons make a fabulous presentation.

Well who almost forgot to post their September Blog pieces ??

I have just has the most fun, working with the newest 12 x 12 in the range. Lots of circles, flags and flowers. I have only used around half on this layout, the other half to come later.Someone here turned two, and what an excuse for a party.

Called Magic Moment Circles, I have used every piece in the two pages I have completed. I have even covered the circles with flags and flowers after removing them. Nothing wasted.
I have covered each piece with suitable papers, inking the edges to give the effect of depth.

Each of the circles have been covered and the inside circles I allowed a little extra paper on the outside to allow for it to be inserted under the circle that sits over the top

I covered the flags and inked the flowers using brads for centre effects.
Lots of Jute and some buttons, cut out flowers and leaves, finish this page off beautifully.
Can not wait to meet this little sweetie only weeks to go.

Springtime reveal | Alicia Barry |

This month the design team have all been having a play with some pretty little birdhouses that Sally has designed. I love birdhouses, so I couldn't wait to jump into this one...especially with the spring weather we are now having.

Altered Birdhouse
The birdhouse kit itself is just the house seen at the top of my project, but I'm not good at sticking to the rules, so I decided to extend it a little by mounting it on top of a metal candle holder I got from Lifeline.

I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the fancy edge.
The kit does include the cute little bird. This is actually just the inner section of the bird.
...and lots of Memory Maze flowers.  I used a picket fence with a vintage gate  wrapped around the base of the birdhouse.

Princess for a day
Next up is a pretty pic of my daughter in a princess dress.

I have used the title and the sweet little butterflies and crown from the chipboard pack.

I coated the chipboard in ink, then covered in diamond stickles.

Snow Day
Ok, this is obviously not a spring project. This was from our recent ski trip.

I have used a few different pieces on this layout, but treated them all in same way to help create cohesion.

I first painted all the pieces with distress ink, then added sparkle with diamond stickles, then while wet, sprinkled some white flocking over the time to represent snow.
