I broke these apart and colored with a white ink pad and used the pieces as embellishments in the corners of the pages.
Handmade flowers compliment the layout.

Getting Ready for Christmas ~ Donna O'leary
Hello every one. It's that time of year where the time just fly's... Are you getting ready for the silly season. Today I am going to share two projects, the first one I intend to give away as a gift and the second one to hang on the tree. I hope you enjoy.

ADORE
Here I have created a pretty mini album using Memory Maze Board Book, it was such fun project and very simple to put together. I started off by painting the book a bright blue, after I painted it I embossed over the entire book, inside and out with clear embossing powder and a wood grain stamp. I added a white wash of distress paint as I knew when this dried it would not interact with any other product (glue).
I then cut my pages down to size and inserted them into the pre-cut slots, and attached to book with ribbon. (see I told you it is simple and a perfect Xmas gift)
I then had lots of fun adding embellishments like the wee girl on the swing in the tree. I attached this to the inside of the cover so you could see her in the opening
I added wild flowers which I had painted and then covered in glimmer mist glam.
Added a lovely word, ADORE.
and for the side I added more ribbon and then a flower, on top of the flower I added one of the lovely butterflies from the Linda scribble set
Here is the side view of the board book, I kept the pages plain, I just added a doily to each page and some lace. My most favourite part of this board book is the gaps between the pages, you can get very dimensional in between each page and it will not get swashed :-)

JOY TO THE WORLD
Who loves hand made with love gifts and decorations, ME!
Here I have used the large doily which looks like a lovely big snow flake,
I have painted it snow white and then spent a bit of time with an embossing pen to emboss pretty red details.
I then embossed the whole doily (both sides) with a sparkly clear embossing powder and added a lot of bling :-)
The then attached the Word saying JOY TO THE WORLD which I had embossed the same red as all the detail, added a few more wee decorations to it and now I have a lovely new decoration to go on our tree.
