{friends adventure awaits}

Hi everyone,  Kylie here sharing another of my layouts.....

I just loved this shot of my daughter Chelsea and her friend Monique all dressed up in combat gear before playing Paint Ball....

The photo really was the inspiration for the background I created with assorted acrylic paints, stencils and my trusty Gelli Plate.

I chose a black Mat for the photo along with a Black Thicker word, I  used Khaki wool to stitch a red Hambly transparency to the background. Embellished with a Charms Creations fabric denim arrow some gauze which I have stained red and a Tim Holtz Chip word "adventure awaits"........

To finish the layout I have used Memory Maze Arrows

I selected the arrows I wanted to use and painted
two Black and two Metallic Copper

Set aside to dry ready to embellish your layout..........

Once dry I adhered to my layout!

Of course I love how this layout turned out
Chelsea also thinks its cool... thanks for taking the time to read my post I hope you found some inspiration.

Mini Butterfly canvas with Tania

Hi everyone! It's my turn to share a project with you today, using some more awesome Chipboard bits from Memory Maze!!!
I've made a mini canvas for you this time, and it features an absolutely, fabulous, and large butterfly!!!

I gave my canvas a mixed media background, by using some spray inks, Distress Oxide inks and  stamping. Then to add some more layers, I did some stenciling and  texture paste. Washi tape added another layer, and then to build up interest under the butterfly, I added some lace and coloured hessian.

The gorgeous chipboard butterfly, was first painted in gold, clear embossed and had black ink added to the edges. I felt it needed something more, so down the middle, I added some gel medium and tiny, pink, micro beads. To make sure they set, I then added some Dimensional Magic on the top!!!

I finished off with some Tim Holtz quote stickers, and felt that was enough. Hope I've inspired you to use some of these awesome larger Chipboard elements on a project!!!
See you next time!

Hello you by Candy Chelepy

Welcome ladies nearly the end of August wow the year is going so fast.
Today I have created a layout using a Memory Maze
heart template and fancy frame.
And of course my beautiful grand daughter
Zarna Rose. And she does like the camera.

I have applied some mint texture paste over the heart  mask
moving this around where I want my photo and frame.

The squares I cut from a full sheet of paper.
Then used an edge distresser around all the edges.
The frame I covered well with the silver texture paste, daubing all over.
This has given a crackle messy affect.
When this was dry I glued on my photo to the back of the frame.
Add this to where I wanted it , then using foam tape under all the squares.
Taping them around the framed photo.
Add all the flowers and glass hearts,
then scribble around the edge of the layout and the small squares.

Christmas in July-By Leanne Nankervis

Hi Everyone!

Leanne back to share a winter layout and card with you today, using the wonderful Memory Maze chipboard products. Over the last school holidays we took a trip to Ballarat, to see the Christmas Wonderland lights at Sovereign Hill. It was truly a beautiful experience with fake snow falls, and all the buildings lit up in colourful lights.

Christmas
In
July layout

For my layout I used the new Christmas in July set from Memory Maze, I embossed the Title, lights and the swirly tree in a frosted silver embossing powder. I then used heavy gesso to add to the title and tree to look like fallen snow. I then sprinkled some Diamond Dust on top of the Gesso paint, for some added sparkle the Christmas lights I added some clear rhinestones to look like light bulbs.

Christmas chipboard lights embossed.

Christmas in July title embossed and gesso applied, dusted with diamond dust.

Tee-Pee Christmas card I made with left overs, inside I used a best wishes title from the card sentiments pack, which I embossed in the frosted silver embossing powder.

Steampunk ATC's, by Tania

Hello everyone. It's my pleasure to be back again with another post for you, using some cool chipboard cogs and more!! I made some ATC's this time, and I really had fun with these!!!

I used Distress Oxide inks to make my backgrounds. Love these!!! I started with an A5 piece of white card, and used the cogs stencil to add some white Distress Paint to the white card. (The white Distress Paint acts as a resist for my next layer.) I applied Vintage Photo & Walnut Stain Distress Oxide ink, with a blending tool and sprayed with water several times for the Oxidization effect.)

You can see the 1st layer of white paint has resisted the brown inks.

After several layers of Distress Oxide inks in a few different colours, I used the Wire stencil in reverse, (Spray the stencil and stamp it onto the card, instead of spraying through it), with some Black Dylusions Spray ink for an added layer of interest.
I cut down my background sheet into 3 pieces. The official size of an ATC, (Artist Trading Card), is 2.5" x 3.5", so I cut 3 pieces of black card stock, this size to use as a mat for each ATC.

Before attatching to the mats, I did some stamping onto the cards, with some arrows, cogs and clocks I had in my stash. Using a paint brush and watered down , white paint, I then flicked some paint drops on there too!

The next step was to colour all my chipboard pieces. For this I used black Distress Paint for the Bowler hat, moustache & cogs chipboard.

And Metallic Distress Stains for the remaining cogs from the bike, cogs, clock and moustache set.

Then it was just a matter of arranging everything in clusters on each card, adding some metal embellishments, thread and black gemstones.
To make them complete, I found some cool quote stamps and embossed them in black, on white card!!!

Here's some more pics, I hope I've inspired you to give these little ATC's a go. The possibilities are endless with the amazing array of chipboard pieces from Memory Maze!!!

Everything About You- by Leanne Nankervis

Hi Everyone!

Leanne back here to share another project with you today, using Memory Maze Chipboard products.

Everything About You!

Today I am sharing a bright colourful page, I am using another one of my photo's of street art in Melbourne, when we visited not long ago. I created a background using dylusion paints they were the perfect colour, to go with the photo. I used some stencilling and background stamping also to create the background. And of course along with Memory Maze chipboard, I really love the pick up sticks and the criss cross hearts.

I used the Memory Maze pick up sticks, which I painted in dylusion paints the same colour's as my background. I then used a background stamp, using a white ink to stamp over the pick up sticks.

I used the Memory Maze chipboard title Everything About, which I embossed with Stampendeous black detail embossing powder, I then dipped the bottom of the title in Lindys stamp gang, embossing powders. The you is from

The Criss Cross hearts I painted with yellow dylusion paints, I then embossed half of the Criss cross heart with gold glitter from Finnabairs Art ingredients. And then added some blue cobalt beads also from Finnabair.

The little hearts were also embossed in gold glitter.
