Unicorn Love by Suzanne Franin

Hey Everyone Suzanne here

I have a couple of friends that love unicorns but one in particular who saw this picture and loved it so I HAD to make her something with it
So for my Memory Maze project this week this was created for her

Don't forget to check out the rest of the blog for any of the latest products or news or just have a look around at some of the awesome Design Team work for inspiration

Because the photo is so colourful I wanted the background to be neutral and simple but still have texture

So I started off by using texture paste through the Mini Divided Heart Stencil once each layer dried I went over it again for extra height

I then used clear gesso over the top of them and made sure I carefully pushed into the divided lines of the heart

I stamped archival in with the Vintage Baroque Stamp randomly over the canvas but because there are so many raised areas it didn't show up very well

On the word Unicorn I used Colour Embossing Powder in Snow White which showed up silvery because I painted the all the embellishments in black gesso

Here I spray Colour Shimmer Spray in Dusty Charcoal to enhance the grooves in the hearts

I used the Unicorn from the Set that has a few different sizes, the word and some stars in it
With the medium Unicorn I used Colour Embossing Powder in Bling
I also used it on the arrow

I used the Unicorn Acrylic White and the Double Heart Vintage Frame which I also used the bling Colour Embossing Powder raising two of the corners up using the Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots it's great for having height without having to use white dots that you can see

Here I filled the glass bottle with little beads I have a heap of and used a flair button from Flutterby Designs

I believe in ART by Suzanne Franin

Hey Everyone Suzanne here

This week is my turn on the Blog and I created a mini canvas with a quote I thought most craft/art people would understand and appreciate
Make sure to check out the rest of Blog and take a look at everything else that's going on over there

I painted all the chipboard with white gesso first to prime it all for what I was going to do next

On the frame I used the Frank Garcia Artisan Powders to make the chipboard look like timber

The Colour Shimmer Sprays I used in Just Blue, Singing the Blues, Envy and Snow White I used to make my painting in my frame and add to the jar of water to make it look like it had been used for the painting and the Bling I used on the paper clay key hole I painted a few layers to get the depth of colour I wanted

Colour Paste in Fire Engine, Sunshine and Singing the Blues not that you can see the Sunshine through the Paint Brush Stencil Jar splats to add to the art part of the canvas
It's a great stencil as it has the jar, the brushes and the splats

I also used the Colour Shimmer Spray Fire Engine Spray on the handles of the scissors painting it on a few times so it came out nice and deep and then used some Finnabair Old Silver Wax on the blades to make them look more like real scissors lol

On the border I used Colour Shimmer Cube Tangerine Dream
I added a Heart from Charms Creations and a flair button from It's and Bits Craft Supplies
And loads of flowers lol

Altered Paintbrush by Mez

Mez again this time I was inspitered by Finnabair. So out to the shed to pinch a paint brush, then I painted it with  3d transparent gloss gel from Art Basics I added all my metals at this stage for the gel to hold them in place. I left it to dry for a couple of days (work got in the way) then a coat of Patina effect Paste in Blue from Art Basics, again let it dry. Then my metals were coated withPatina effect Brass Art Basics , lightened with a touch Art Basics Acrylic Paint sparks Dragon's eye & just a touch of Art Basics Acrylic Paint sparks Unicorn's Hair. Topped it off with a flower from my stash. A touch of white paint all using my fingers in spots that needed a highlight.
The I added my Memory Maze chipboard 'Imagine' & a row of pearls.
Hope you enjoy it.

Born to be Wild with Sarah Rosse

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here today with a scrapbook layout for you that I recently taught at local store to me - Scrap 2 Relax.
This layout was created using Gel Press petite gel plates - this triangle plate comes in a pack of three and are so much fun to create with! I mount the gel mini plate on to an acrylic block and brayer paint on to them. I then make patterns on the plate using various tools and stamp them on to the page.

The Memory Maze Lasercut products used for this layout include the gorgeous black acrylic title 'Born to be Wild'. This is also available in chipboard or wood veneer. I also used the nested wooden triangles and painted them black to match the title.

I matted the photo of my son with white and black cardstock, then created two other hand painted mats to compliment the background colours of the layout. To finish off the layout, I did some doodled edges with a black marker.

Hi Everyone!

Leanne here to share some more projects with you today, using Memory Maze Laser cuts.
Today I'm sharing a couple of spooky cards, seeing we are in October the month of Halloween. Well it seems to be coming more popular in Australia now, and I must say my kids do love to go Trick a Treating and do enjoy dressing up for the occasion.

Steampunk Girl Card

I made an Arrow Fold Easel Card, I used the Memory Maze 3D Cards. I've used 2 sheets of the same images, which I have fussy cut out. The bottom image I have adhered to a acetate, I then added the same fussy cut image foam mounted over the previous image. I have used a few other images from the sheet on my card and embellished with some metals and flowers.

Ghoul Girl Card

I have made the exact same card as the previous one, but used a different 3D sheet. These sheets are great for cards or journals.
