A little bit of Memory Maze Chipboard Magic~ DT Share by Donna O'leary

Hello all...  So glad to be back to share another fun lot of projects I have created.  Our theme this month is Easter!  So I have a hopping project to start of with and then a special gift I made my daughter for her 21st.  I have also created a layout to share,  so go grab a coffee/tea and relax.   ENJOY

EASTER DELIGHT

I went to spotlight the other day and my daughter picked up this wee basket to put her so called shopping in,  I had to giggle at her, she is such a cutie-pie.  She had been so good that I decided that she could bring the basket home.  Later that night I sunk into her room and borrowed it.  Much to her delight the next day she got a bit of a surprise. I applied lace around the outer ring and then used some lovely Memory Maze(MM) flowers and MM chipboard to decorate it.

I embossed the little chicken in a pastel yellow Wow Embossing Powder (WEP) and a pink glitter WEP for the larger eggs.

I spaced my flowers out and in-between each flower I added and embossed MM chipboard egg.

HAPPY EASTER

Inside the basket I made a Easter card,  this time using a cute bunny chipboard.  I had two of these so I cut the bunny out if the second one and placed it on top of the other bunny to give it some height.  I embossed the bunny with a very cool white puff WEP which made the bunny look fluffy.

I added some stunning wee bright flowers from MM and a MM grass chipboard.  I coloured the grass with Gelatos

and again embossed my wee eggs with some glitter embossing powders.  Ruby loves them both.

 A SPECIAL GIFT

I love making gifts for the special people in my life,  I found the middle jar in a op ship and thought it would be really good to make something with it.  My first job was to remove all the labels of the three jars.  I then completely covered the whole jar with versa mark so my embossing powder would stick.  I then got the top end of a little paint brush ans doodled in the embossing powder.  Once I had the desired effect I heat set the embossing powder.

I was over the moon when Sally (owner of Memory Maze) said that she will be stocking flowers,  as you can tell I love them!  I got a huge parcel of some lovely blooms!  A must have for any scrappers stash.

To decorate the jars with the flowers and and old necklace I used a hot glue gun.  Very handy and fast.  Just perfect for the job!

I  found a Prima butterfly that was the perfect match for my project.

I am happy to report she loved this present and it now sits proudly in her bedroom.

SWEET DREAMER

I fell in love with this photo of Amber-Leigh.  It was taken at her big sisters 21st and she thought the props I had brought for the photo booth were cool and wore them all night. Lol apart from myself and Sammy I don't think I actually got any photos of  them :-) 

This layout is full of MM goodies, hidden in this photos is a clock, bird and leaves plus a number of MM flowers.  I coloured the MM with metallic rub-ons.

For the banner I inked the outer edge with distress ink and then coloured the  words with a black marker.  For the flower vine I used a mixture of gelatos and a black marker for the detail.

again the same as above for the word banner and a mixture of run-on for the three birds.

I love those buds...  I need so many more of those as they are great fillers for projects.

Tracey Campbell's April Reveal

Hello and welcome to April. This month our theme is of course Easter. Who doesn't love this time of the year? The weather is changing and it is the best excuse in the world to break that diet and gorge all the chocolate you can eat with the perfect excuse that it is.......Easter!!! 

Delight

My  first layout to share is one of my two daughters and the absolute delight they had on their faces when they discovered the basket of eggs at the bottom of their beds on Easter morning.

I used some raspberry distressing ink for the frame and simply painted the ornate frame to give it a bight and bold colour.

 

For the chick and the fancy eggs I painted with the same raspberry distressing paint and then coated with Dimensional Magic and sprinkled with coloured glitter.

Our Bunnies

My second reveal is another of Bronte and Paige and some of the chocolates they got for 2013, these white chocolate bunnies where a hug hit, almost too cute to eat.  I used a simple technique of inking the chipboard with white ink and then brushing a soft pastel chalk over the fancy eggs.

My last layout reveal for April is one more of my daughters and their huge Easter stash the got last year (this year they are not getting anywhere near as much). I have used a lot of Gelatos and water on the background and the frames, which I have used to represent egg shapes.

April is nearly here!

Hi guys, Danice here and along with April comes Easter, not too much fanfare in this household with easter, but I am sure that will change by this time next year!

First up I have a bright and cheerful easter layout, with a gorgeous wee model learning how to eat an easter egg.. her mum calls these photos "faceplanting the easter egg" I'm just glad I wasn't on clean up duty!
I used a small frame that I gesso'd and then stuck some wee heart stickers all over it to make it really stand out, added some lovely swallows to add dimension and away it went!

I'm a big project lifer as well and was challenged by a group to follow a couple of "recipes" to create some of my own Project Life cards, and Memory Maze products make it SO easy to do, 

First day of.....
These words originally said "First day of school" but I really wanted to use these because they fit perfectly for my 2014 PL title page, So I easily separated the school word painted the rest black and voila! and now I can use the School word on another project too - such a simple way to get more use out of one embellishment!

 March, the spring blossom again fit perfectly along the 4x6 card, with plenty left over for other projects, this one I covered with perfect pearls just to give it a bit of shimmer to match the other pinks I've used on the card.

April title card, using my fave things washi and Memory Maze with a bit of lace thrown in for good measure! I coloured the chipboard in silver sharpie and then glued it to a backing card, next step was kindy glitz and painting with H2O's and shimmerz and then finally topped off with glossy accents to give it a glassy look.

and last by definately not least, 

This is a bit cute,  it is the first layout I have done for my own baby, we can certainly say this child is going to be well scrapped! I used some heart flourishes again cutting them so the one that fits best can be used, I love the font and size of BABY here too, really suitable for any layout or PL page!

Here you can see the close up of the flourish heart tucked into the flower cluster.
