Tracey Campbell's Reveal

I am not one to work off the page very often, but when Sally showed us the Bird House designs I automatically knew I wanted to create a fanciful fairy house out of it. I had a lot of fun coating the chipboard with pattern paper and stamping some fairies on to it then making the hot glue gun my friend and adhering it together. I only got two blisters on my fingers from the hot glue.

A close up of the shelves that come with the birdhouse - they are sturdy enough to put quite a bit of weight on them, perfect for little girl's treasure or jewellery.

 There are also some lovely chipboard pieces to use for embellishments for the house, I have used the butterfly and the vines on the roof.

 The etched birds are a fun touch to add, a simple spray of mist and an extra splatter over the top creates a whimsical look.

 The base board for the Bird House is bigger than the base of the house, this is to provide stability.

 After the fun of creating this off the page project I was feeling a bit back to nature so I continued the theme of including animals onto my layouts.

A House is not a Home without a Dog

 I got a bit arty with this layout with a bit of water painting and drawing. I love this photo of Paige with our newest addition to the family, our 12 week old Alaskan Malamute baby boy, Storm.

 A quick coat of Stazon Ink over the chipboard to give it a flat matt look to make it stand out over the water colour heart.

 With the chipboard heart behind the Malamute shape I used some pink and red water colour paint to add a shaded look and then hand drew some stitch marks on it .

Simple Things Matter The Most

I know I have used this photo before, but when I got a heap of tiny little frogs in my package from Sally I knew I just had to scrap it again.

 

For the title I wanted to use two different mists so I used some washi tape to cover up the words simple and matter most and sprayed with gold, then once dried I washi taped up the word things and sprayed the remain words with a green mist. I love the two tone title.

For the fern and the frog it was just a simple matter of using two different colour green mists. Such a cute little frog.

Jan's September Upload

BIRDHOUSES will be our feature for the month of September. 

For this project I have used 2 birdhouses joined together with seam binding. The birdcage approx 5 inches tall, sent in pieces ready to put together. Great project. Minimum buy 3.

August Reveal from Sally McIntyre

This month has been a month for flowers and chipboard,My first layout is one of my

 beautiful grand daughter Maddy,who will visit from Canada before my next post. I have so enjoyed the bright colors and  dimension .

 I had fun distressing the edges of the card stock aound the edges of the  top layer, adding a dark mat and hot pink mat. I used the tyre tack stencil to add an effect on the paper ,with white texture paste

I used raw chipboard on this page,it just seemed to suit .

I used the 6 inch clock  for this page.

August reveal with Alicia Barry

Today I have a number of projects to share with you, starting with some Father's Day cards since the day is coming up in just a few weeks. 

Father's Day cards

I have combined Heartfelt Creations papers with lots of cog pieces arranged together. To dress the chipboard, I started with ink for colour first, then sprinkled a combination of colours of Metallic Melts embossing powder, which, when heated, blend together beautifully. I used similar colours of powder in each of my cards, but a different ink as the base.

Next up is a brand new painters tray with butterflies.  I have combined matt ink on some chipboard pieces, and glitter on the butterflies.
