Men @ Work | Tarrah McLean

Hi everyone!

It's Tarrah McLean back with you and today I am sharing a new scrapbook layout using some boy themed Memory Maze chipboard!

I inked this chipboard title with some blue ink for my boy themed layout!

My boys love being out in the garage with their Dad helping him do boy stuff, these were the perfect photos to use to go with this title!

I also added the Big Boys tab and some of the chevron arrows to my layout as well!

I hope you are getting some time to create with your chipboard pieces? Check out the Memorymaze store now to find your next pieces of chipboard!

Thank you so much for joining me on the Memorymaze blog today!

Happy creating!

Christmas layout - by Toni Herron

Christmas is almost here crafters so I have decided to share with you a lovely layout that I have created in preparation for a special photo hopefully to be taken this year while we are celebrating over on one of Queensland's magical paradises -  Great Keppel Island.

I have left this layout title-less and photo-less at the moment, plus it actually looks much better in real life than in this photo, so I apologise.

Firstly, I had to prepare the base. Of course this is my most favourite part of all for my while making a scrapbook layout. I love being able to get messy and creative with a couple of different mediums to change the background to suit me.

I started out by getting an old foam brush that is a bit stiff from glue. This gives off a really cool streak effect that looks great for weathering looks like woodgrain - or in this context - a Blistered of blowing snow. I then stamped with a woodgrain stamp with a "sky gray" ink pad, then stamped some journaling style words with a  "slate" ink pad.

To top it off I flicked some white gesso and black paint to make flecks, again to give the effect of snow or a glistening night atmosphere.

The Reindeer chipboard have been painted with a "coastal blue" paint, then wiped with gesso and black paint with the same old glued foam brush.

The frame and swirl have simply been coloured with grey paint.

I have layered with a Doily, Silver Glitter cardstock, white scrap paper where the photo will be able to slide in. The frame has a lovely silver snow flake embellishment featured with a Memory Maze Bling piece. The top swirl is embellished with an eye catching small round mirror, some Memory Maze snowflake chipboard that has been covered by a "puff white" embossing power and more Memory Maze Bling.
