Christmas Star by Suzanne Franin
Hey Everyone Suzanne here
Merry Christmas I hope you get everything you dream of from Santa and share the love with everyone
Today on the Memory Maze Blog I'm sharing a Christmas project of a special little girl who I did the same sort of photo last year so this year instead of round we have gone for a star
Here is a close up of the Silver Acrylic Deer Head it has sparkle through the acrylic it's so pretty and my little friend in the photo has a deer on her top
The Wings I added to a paper clay clock that mum did for me
along with a few other paper clay pieces that are scattered around the star
I also used some small white flowers and some art pebbles which got covered with the Art Alchemy Wax as well
I love these Bling Tutu Flowers they are so pretty and the red worked perfect for this project
they also come in a few other colours so make sure to check out the site and get your local store to get them in
Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come back soon x
With the lid of the tin I used Finnabair's Poppy Red Impasto so I didn't need to prime it
I used a sponge with the paint and it gave a nice stippled affect
I also did the same with the back
Once it was dry I added some Art Alchemy Wax in Old Silver around the edge of the lid and all of the chipboard embellishments
I also added a transparent heart, a flat pearl bead onto a metal piece
Underneath you can see a star from Charms Creations it's so pretty it has glitter in the material
The Wings I added to a paper clay clock that mum did for me
along with a few other paper clay pieces that are scattered around the star

Here I used the LOVE from the So Rad Authentic Words set of words it just fit so nice

Simple Gift idea with Sarah
Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with a simple gift idea for Christmas or a gift for the New Year in reflection of the year we have had.
As a gift idea for this year, I have put together two small albums full of photos of my boys throughout 2018 for their grandmother. Whilst I havent had time to scrapbook them, I thought this was a lovely way to reflect on the year that was 2018 and she can then choose to the use the photos in her scrapbooks or just keep them in an album.
To finish off the gift. I adhered the gold acrylic 2018 piece from Memory Maze to the front of the album. These albums are from Office Work and I chose the black and white ones to ensure the gold stood out. Let's take a closer look at the beautiful glimmer of the acrylic. I just love how it turned out. I then compiled the two albums together with some gorgeous mint ribbon and it's done! Hope nanny likes it! The 20219 design is now available on the website at www.memorymaze.com.au. As pictured below, this is avialable in chipboard, acrylic, wood veneer and coloured board.

Sewing Tin by Suzanne Franin
Hey Everyone Suzanne here
This project is for the Memory Maze Blog where you can find so much inspiration and see so many of the other products that they make because each Design Team member get different things to use
Here's a fun tin I made for a sewer using the Make Your Own Steam Punk Set I love this set it has so much in it
I was going to grunge it but then I thought I'd use may favourite colours instead - red, orange, pink and yellow they make everything happy and bright
I've made a YouTube video of the process
I had this tin that someone gave me I think it was from last Christmas cookies and I thought it was a perfect size for all your sewing bits and bobs I have about 3 small containers so this should work fine
I started off by painting the everything with black gesso including all the embellishments
Then use Art Extravagance Texture Paste Graphite with the Mandala Doily Stencil randomly over the tin
Once that dried I then glued some old pattern making paper down with Art Basics Clear Gesso
Then I glued each piece down with the Helmar Premium Craft Glue
I added some pieces of muslin for some more texture then painted that with the black gesso as well
When everything was dry I used Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Dust - Lollipop, Amber, Sunflower and Candy with a brush flicking the powder randomly over the tin then I sprayed water over it
It gave a beautiful shimmer but once they dried it just left a shimmer and not much colour because of the black gesso (they work much better on lighter colours) so I got out the Colour Shimmer Cubes -Tangerine Dream, Sunflower, Fire Engine, Blush, Lipstick and then some Bling for some added shimmer(which are no longer available from Colour Blast but I do know there are still a few online stores that have them)
They mixed great with Colour Simmer Dusts and added extra colour over the tin

Teacher gifts with Sarah
Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with you today with some more designs using the wonderful acrylic pieces by Memorymaze Lasercuts.
These brooch cards were made as end of year teacher gifts - a lovely card and brooch to give your child's teacher or educator to say thankyou for another great year. As pictured above I also used some small acrylic apples to make earrings to accompany the brooch cards.
I used the Ali Edwards 'Learn' clear stamp set for the sentiment for these cards. I just loved the words 'Thankyou for teaching me all the things' The acrylic pieces and brooch pins for this project can be found online at http://www.memorymaze.com.au/
