Rediscover Yourself

Hello it's Mez,

I think I am starting to like journal pages. Here is I think my favorite so far, this one has dylusions sprays with stencil ghosting, the darker stencils around the page as well I used the tiny 4" butterfly stencil to give the girl a tattoo. The paste is Colourblast Snow White with shimmer dust mixed in to give me a colour similar. I have water pens with the dylusion sprays in them so they are what I did the hair with, water colours for the face just added a layer to give me shaows. The face Michelle Grant Designs Hope pack.

Thank you for looking.

Enjoy

Flowers are always a good idea

Hi team, Fi here bringing you another A4 journal page in my Art by Marlene journal. Today I was working away from the craft cave so decided I would use my scribble sticks as paint. These are a great and easy way to carry many colours of pigment with a full range of colours for any project.

I scribbled olive and evergreen scribble sticks directly onto the water colour page. I then used a wide water brush to blend the colours together and move the pigment around the page. Using Dina Wakley's X's stencil I placed it onto my page whilst wet and removed some of the paint with a babywipe, also wiping it over the blank areas to leave some colour.

I then got some of the floral chipboard and sprayed it with water until saturated before halving the chipboard and leaving it to dry. Once mostly dry (as I can be impatient) I used the water brush directly onto the scribble stick to get colour and painted each of the chipboard pieces. I had also stamped a nest and coloured that the same way.

I glued down some tissue collage paper and assembled the chipboard onto the page before adding a little more stamping and the word stamps (also Dina Wakley). Shown below you can see where I have stamped onto the chipboard also to add some detail and texture - I used a distress archival stamp pad.

Assembled and glued down prior to the final stamping.

{Love thy heart}

Hello again crafty friends! Melissa A with you today and I have a beautiful wedding layout to share with you all.

The bridge chipboard matched this image perfectly and I used silver wax on it so it subtly blends in.

I embossed the heart chipboard with Stampendous 'Shabby Pink' embossing powder and used Ranger liquid pearls in 'Petal Pink' on the clock chipboard.

For the title I used Wattleido 'African Ancient Gold' embossing powder and added some glitter paint to the white flowers to finish off.

I hope this layout has inspired you in some way to start adding some more chipboard pieces to your layouts. They really give the layout more character and they are just fun to play with.

Thank you for stopping by, I'll be back again very soon with some more inspiration. Until next time...happy crafting! :)

Sweet Happy

Hello Again,

This is a layout using Studio 73 Patterned paper & tags. In the background is Seth Apters Izink Ice I had used the stencil on another project & didn't want to waste what was left so I just put the stencil down towards the bottom of the page to add a bit of interest. The a doily under the photo with Memory Maze Chipboard which was covered with Izink Dye Spray in Goldmine. Then I cut the chipboard in half & placed it on top of the doiley,  placed the titles down & added some tags from the same kit. Easy Peasy.

Run Rabbit Run

Good morning everyone and welcome to another beautiful day. Today I am playing in my Art by Marlene A4 size journal and with some very old family photos thanks to my Mum! I scanned in the photo from the album blowing it up to A4 size and printed it on regular printer paper. I ripped around the edges and glued it into my journal. Using Tim Holtz distress inks I coloured in the picture using a water brush. Letting the picture guide the colours.

It was looking a bit plain so I glued down the diamond strip and scribble circle chipboard in its raw form.

I wanted to add some more layers so used Dina Wakley stencil - scales and used her acrylic gloss spray in white, masking over the circle as to not cover up the boys face or rabbit heads.

I found a recipe for rabbit stew online and typed it out on tissue paper with my trusty op shop find typewriter, gluing that to the page.

I finished the page by using a black paint pen to colour the scribble circle chipboard and asemic writing of the title around the edge also writing the boys name under the picture.

Supplies used:
Memory Maze chipboard -
Art by Marlene A4 journal
Tim Holtz distress inks- barn door, broken China,
Dina Wakley stencil - Scales
Dina Wakley acrylic gloss spray - white
Typewriter
Water brush
Posca paint pen - black

{You are beautiful inside & out}

Hey there!
It's Melissa A with you again today with a vibrant layout showcasing some safari themed chipboard from Memory Maze.

For this layout, I used the bright and vibrant 'Steampunk Safari' collection from Uniquely Creative and I found the best Steampunk Giraffe chipboard piece to match from Memory Maze. For this piece I used Colorburst's 'Burnt Umber' for the giraffe and then sprinkled some gold embossing powder over the top; Stampendous 'Aged Scralet' embossing enamel and Lindy's 'Chip off the old black' embossing powder for the rest of the piece.

For the scattered gear chipboard pieces I heat embossed them with Lindy's Chip off the old black'

To finish off this layout I scattered some black & red micro beads and embossed my title with Lindy's 'Silence is golden'.
I like to try different styles, so I hope you liked this layout.
Until next time...happy crafting!

Love This

Good morning Memory Maze Fans! It is Hetty with you again today. Time to share another layout with some gorgeous chipboard elements, I just love that Heart frame, don't you? Also the details on those butterflies is amazing!!

Love This

I started with the amazing Heart Double and painted it with a metallic berry colour to really make it stand out and layered it behind my photo, the smaller heart went below the bigger heart. Next I clustered some of the fussy cut elements from the paper collection and amongst that I layered the Sprigs of Berries which I coloured with some black iridescent spray. I love using white embossing powder on my chippies so I used this on my butterflies and my title sentiment, it really makes them pop. I added some of the see through splats to my background to create a bit of texture, bit hard to see in the photos but they look awesome in real life.

I have used the following Chipboard elements:

Hi Everyone! It's a pleasure to be here once again. Today I have a video post for you. I use frames a lot in my journals and this is a tutorial on how I add metallic paint and foils to give a nice antique effect. It is my absolute favourite way to use chipboard frames .... so far lol. Enjoy!

See you next time.
