Smile Big by Suzanne

Hi Everyone Suzanne here

My turn on the Blog today

On this rare occasion I had some photos of my son to
scrap so using the Checker Plate Stencil was perfect as it added to him
standing against the roller door of the garage

The problem is he never smiles yet he's the one that wants the photos taken so we have
to say something stupid to get him to laugh and catch it LOL

The Checker Plate Stencil is one of my faves it is such a great masculine
stencil but can be used for anything really

I used some Impasto to give it a raised look then once it dried I used a teal spray to drip
and drizzle over the page to highlight some of the areas

The Grunge Holes Mesh chipboard is so cool it comes in two pieces one end is
ovals and the other is squares with all the little bits filled in the holes which can
be used for all sorts of fun things (great little Easter eggs, confetti, if you arrange
them you can make a paw print) - endless like your imagination

I like to use the Grunge Holes Mesh for mixed media pages it adds extra
dimension and texture - you can paint it, stamp it even fill the holes in with
texture paste then stamp it or fill it with beads

Here are the links to the Products I used -

Thanks for visiting I hope you will be back soon xx

Shabby Chic banner - Candy

Hi everyone Candy here with a creation I have been working on for some weeks now.
I am making an altered embrodery hoop for a
swap group I am in and I had to make a banner
so here it is.

Sorry it is fairly big and hard to photograph, but I did my best.
I have made this using some 12 x 12 chipboard.
Cutting three triangle pieces and covering them
with paper, lace and plenty of pretties.
They are decorated both front and back.
But on the back it is really simple.

This is the middle banner

This is the left banner

And this is the right one

I cut the frame in quarters and using the gold and white
embossing powder, embossed them all but I only used three
at the top of each one.
I did the same with the double hearts and the word love.

Wooden Veneer brooch cards with Sarah

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with another brooch card special, this time using some of the wooden veneer pieces from Memory Maze Lasercuts.

These wooden pieces are so versatile - great for cards, scrapbook layouts and my love of brooches! It's good to remember that almost any of the chipboard pieces on the website can also be cut in wood.
Let's jump right in to it...this first one is a 3x3 inch card with a gorgeous cupcake on it. This cupcake is also available in this same design in a yellow acrylic.

The next card is using a the gorgeous swirly owl. In fact for those owl lovers out there, Memory Maze has a wide variety of owl die cuts. They can be viewed online here.

As you can see in this photo, the deer head (as per my last blog post) is also featured.

The next one is the skull bulb - isnt this so cool?

There are many more designs and examples of brooch cards I have....may share some more later if you'd like to see them? Be sure to leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts....until next time!
