Today it's my pleasure to announce our 2014 Design Team members.
New members are
Alicia Barry
I've been scrapping
for well over ten years now. In that time I have worked for a number of retail
stores, online kit clubs, wholesalers, manufacturers and magazines both in
Australia and overseas. During this time I have also taught in both regular and
guest roles. I have been published numerous times in both Australian and
overseas magazines (both print and digital), including Scrapbooking Memories
Masters magazines (HM's). I am very privileged to have had my work on display
for a number of companies at various CHA shows in the States. In 2013, I won the
Spellbinders Craft to win competition.
I am a married
mother of 3. I work part time as a primary school teacher. I also like to dabble
in cake decorating.
I think my style is best describes as floral and dimensional. I think Shabby
chic is the closest label for it, but I like to experiment with all sorts of
things. Having three small children, they tend to be the main focus of my work.
I mostly tend to work on single photo, single 12x12 layouts. Flowers, either
handmade or pre-made are almost always a big part of my work. I like to work
with lots of flourishes and swirls, and lately seem to gravitate towards soft
pastel palettes. I've been experimenting more and more with mixed media
techniques on my pages.
Cassandra Bright
I am married to a wonderful man who let me pinch the master bedroom as
my
craftroom and then gave me his garage to transform into a classroom! I
am
the mother of two furbabies. Missy Precious and Belle Precious who
are
Labradors. They are my sunshine! I work on a casual basis as a
Personal
Care Attendant with Uniting Age Well (formerly known as Uniting Age
Care)
and I love my job! Previously I worked at a major scrapbooking
store
called Chandon Craft in Geelong. And although I loved it, it is nice
to
have a different profession then my hobby. I find I am more creative
this
way.
I think I have been scrapping/creating for about 7 years
now. I began with
layouts, then cards, then beyond the page, then mixed media
and next who
knows. I love to keep learning and I love to teach. I love
sharing and
showing people things. I don't think I have a certain style, as
the style
depends on the project I am working on and what I am trying to
convey.
I have been lucky enough to work on Design Teams such as
Kaisercraft, Mad
for Markers, Bizzy Bec's Cardmaking Scrapbooking, Chandon
Craft and also
to teach classes at Chandon Craft and Create On Ormond and I
am currently
on the Lulu Art DT. I also have a youtube channel :http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIqGRWXiAWPMfl2qA0okGgA
And
last year I was lucky enough to be published in a Scrapbooking
magazine for
the first time, in Scrapbook Creations March magazine.
I'm a scrapbooker that lives on the West Coast of the South Island, I moved here from Auckland a few years back and am slowly getting used to the lack of shops and shopping, with the help of the internet that is!
I am an avid project lifer too which is a great outlet for all the photographs I take, the landscape here on the coast is stunning so I studied for and received a Diploma in Digital Photography in 2012 and am slowly building a business focusing on wedding photography and my background in scrapbooking is so relevant to organising wedding albums and books!
I have been featured regularly in Up2Scrap and Paper Chase and have recently been published in Scrapbooking Memories.
I love using all sorts of media on my layouts, definately a lumpy bumpy scrapper, and enjoy having a really messy space to create in!
Kim Kendell
Hi my name is Kim Kendell and I have been scrapping now for approximately
16 years plus, I am totally addicted to scrapping. I am a mum to Malina and
partner to Donald whom both appreciate my scrapping and Aunty to many whom are
all subjects of my scrapping.
I don't slot myself into a set style but would rather say that I love to
try everything that is happening I think and believe this is how you grow and
develop. I am currently loving the new crazy of mixed media as I feel there is
just so much that you can do with it.
I am a lover of Graphic 45 and Prima papers or any papers that can be
successfully cut up and layered. I am also currently enjoying the file folder
systems of Heidi Swapp.
I have been on many various design teams over the last 10 years and love
sharing what I do with followers in the hope that I am able to inspire them. I
look forward to sharing my creations with you over the next 6 months and thank
the team at Memory Maze for the awesome chance. Kim
Returning members are
Donna O'leary
I have been scrapbooking for a number of years now, but only in the past two years put myself out in the big wide world. In doing so I have gained a number of design teams spots. I teach and work locally at our scrapbooking store which I love. I have a busy life with 6 children and foster children to. I'm a mum/wife friend by day but once those kiddies are all tucked in I'm found in "my space" crafting. I love it, I love challenges. I can do clean and simple to detailed and totally over the top, but I LOVE ink and off the page projects.
Tracey Campbell
Hi I am Tracey Campbell and like many of you I am a total scrapbooking addict. Both my husband and I are in the Navy so we get to travel a bit, so right now Darwin is home, but we are Queenslanders at heart. I have been scrapbooking for close to ten years now and I seriously don't think I will stop any time soon. I have two beautiful but totally mischievous daughters, Bronte who is six and Paige who is three. So most of my scrapbooking is very feminine. Around full time work we have a house hold of animals - cats, dogs, fish and birds....we just need a bigger house and land to keep more. I don't think I have a set scrapbooking style, I call my style eclectic.... as I tend to change from layout to layout or product to product....I love to get mess and I love to create. If I am not playing with the kids (both human and animals) or working I am at my scrapping desk and I love it that way.
Linda Thompson
DT Co Ordinator
A bit about me, I'm Linda 40, I married my soul mate in 1997 and we have 8 children, 7 girls and a boy ranging in age from 2yrs to 21yrs, we still have 6 girls living at home and celebrated the birth of our first grandchild 15 months ago a little boy. I have been scrapping since 2004 and in that time I have been on a couple of design teams and had a few items published in Scrap mags. I've owned my own scrapbook store for the past 6 years. My style has changed a lot over the years but I mainly do layouts however I LOVE the world of BTP and mixed media. My favourite products have to be Flowers, Chipboard and spray mist.
