Scrapbook layout ... by Lynn Good

Hi there, before February ends, I thought I would share with you a layout that I created of my grandmother and her brother - I just love the old photos and so pleased that my Mum was interested in our family history and got a heap of photos.

I have used the Prima Collection - Love Clippings.    I have used Lindy Stamp Gang starbursts on the background over some stencilling.

The chipboard has been embossed using Lindy Stamp Gang embossing powders - Terra Cotta Rust and Golden Angel Wings.

I used the following Chipboard pieces:

Memorable moments , enjoy every moment, script, doiley ,fancy ,m

Here are some close ups:

Journey by Suzanne Franin

Introducing Suzanne to the Memorymaze design team,
Suzanne is an accomplished scrapbooker and Memorymaze is thrilled that she has come to spend some time with us .
Please leave her some love and share her post.

Hello everyone I'm Suzanne

I'm lucky enough to be chosen to be on the Memory Maze Team

I'm here to share my first project with you I hope you like it

I created this with four mini canvases  that I have  taped together
then painted them with black gesso

I have  painted the back of the transparency with some Opal Magic Alchemy paints
by Finnabair in four different colors for a magical effect.

Once the paint was dry I glued it onto the canvases then heated
the transparency so it shrunk around the canvas - that way I was able to ensure
there were  no air bubbles once the glue had dried.

I am working with the Memorymaze Tree of Hearts, and the together word sheet.
I used some rusty paper paint and some
brown acrylic paint to give it and old worn look.

I have gone ahead and painted the small hearts with the Alchemy paints as well.

I used a White Big Brush Pitt marker to colour the word Journey

I have added some little gems for some sparkle
and some cotton for some texture

These are the Memorymaze chipboard pieces i have used on this piece

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will be back soon

'The Wild' by Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone,

My turn up on the Memory Maze Blog with a mixed media 'nature' inspired layout featuring plenty of gorgeous Memory Maze products. I have added a list of the products used to the bottom of this post along with the links.

I wanted to create a combination of a natural 'rainforest' looking layout featuring natural items like twine, feathers and twigs and also all the colours of the rainforest; the browns and the greens.

Here is my layout -

Here are some close ups of the finer details.

TIP - colour your chipboard leaves directly with a Distress stain in green and then while wet add a bronze distress paint on the end of the leaf to add extra colour and dimension.

Thanks for Stopping by the blog today, make sure you leave some love :-)

Angel by Candy

Hello everyone today it is my turn to create a layout using some chipboard
product for Memory Maze

My layout has another photo of my grand daughter Zarna Rose
I am  being a bit biased here but never get sick of creating layouts about her.

I purchased a kit from Kitaholics and most of this is from that.
I have used black cardstock for the back and cut down my pattern paper
1/2 inch two sides only. I cut a V at the side of my pattern paper and curled the edges.
Tape this to the black background and I then cut the frilly part from a pink doiley.
Gathered it up and and glued well into the V part (just on one side).

I have added flowers, ephemera, sparklets, epoxy stickers
and a flair button to my background.
I also used a black pen and went around my page and and the flowers
to make these stand out a bit more.

I have used the word Angel  and painted it with white gesso.
Then I used a versamark stamp pad covered the word well
and sprinkled with sparkle embossing powder.
Heat with a heat gun and glue to the layout.

Friends - By Leanne Nankervis

Hi Everyone!

Leanne back here with you today, with my second share for the month. Today I'm sharing a layout with you that I created of my friends from a photo shoot we did together late last year. We had such a blast that day! so this is one of my favourite photo's from the shoot.

Friends

Well what can I say perfect friends, perfect day and a whole lot of laughs and fun! I don't think the photographer new what she was in for that day.
I used several wrought Iron flourishes, and pieced them together to form a larger ornate flourish, I used a black distress paint on the flourishes. I also used the bird on a wire border and cut it into pieces, which was painted in black distress paint and embossed on the wire.

My first post as DT Member .... 12x12 Project by Lynn Good

Hi, Lynn Good here and I am SUPER excited to be part of the Memory Maze Design team and for my first project I have created a 12 x 12 board to hang in my craft room.

I had my husband cut a piece of mdf 12x12 - I was going to apply alot of mixed media and hang it on the wall so I wanted something sturdy.

Some shots and explanation of what I have done:

I began by randomly applying torn up dictionary paper, book paper, and wrapping paper.  I covered this with heavy white gesso, wiping back areas so the papers still peeked through.

On top of this I then applied white crackle  paste.

Once the crackle paste was dry I covered it with acrylic paint - I  used Cobalt Turquois Fluid Acrylic from Golden Paints.  Quickly before it dries I wiped and rubbed with a wet wipe so all I was left with was the colour in the crackle and bumps.   I then also applied some Bone Black Fluid acrylic randomly on the crackles and wiped away.

I have painted all the chipboard pieces with white gesso.  I used the crackle paste on the centre of the doily and embossed the edges with White Embossing Powder and then a sparkle embossing powder on the top.

I paint the small wrought iron flourishes with white paint

The butterflies I painted with the Golden Fluid Acrylic Paint - Cobalt Turquois

The black chipboard in the photo is the centres on the circles on circles chipboard.  I embossed them used Stampendous Aged Black Embossing Enamel

The Crackle on the chipboard tag was created by painting the Cobalt Turquois on the chipboard.  Once dry I covered it with Deco Art Crackling Medium and set that aside to dry.  Once dry I painted the tag with White Paint and left the crackling medium to do its job.

The chipboard title - Love - was covered with the Aged Black Embossing Enamel.

Here are some more close ups:

Thanks for stopping by and I cant wait to create another project for you all.
