Born to be Wild with Sarah Rosse

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here today with a scrapbook layout for you that I recently taught at local store to me - Scrap 2 Relax.
This layout was created using Gel Press petite gel plates - this triangle plate comes in a pack of three and are so much fun to create with! I mount the gel mini plate on to an acrylic block and brayer paint on to them. I then make patterns on the plate using various tools and stamp them on to the page.

The Memory Maze Lasercut products used for this layout include the gorgeous black acrylic title 'Born to be Wild'. This is also available in chipboard or wood veneer. I also used the nested wooden triangles and painted them black to match the title.

I matted the photo of my son with white and black cardstock, then created two other hand painted mats to compliment the background colours of the layout. To finish off the layout, I did some doodled edges with a black marker.

If you are interested in any of the Memory Maze products, be sure to contact your local craft store or Memory Maze for your local stockist where we can place our local sales reps in contact with them.

My Story with Sarah Rosse

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with a 12x12 layout for you today. For this layout I have used a number of mediums to create the background. Let's take a look...
This layout was created for a class I recently taught at scrapbook store Scrap 2 Relax in Drouin. It was fantastic to see how each layout completed was different and how the ladies took on the techniques and adapted them to suit their photos and colour choices. The base of this layout is created using distress crayons directly on the page and through stencils, a circular gel plate print, stencilling with black ink and stamping with both distress crayons and black ink. I also used my Posca black paint pen to add some hand drawn details.
The chipboard title My Story can be found on the MemoryMaze website here and the chipboard 'chicken wire' used can be found here. The chipboard pieces were painted with acrylic paints - for my layout this was a dark blue, then I went over the top of the pieces with a lighter, irredescent blue. I love the contrast this provides.

Fun Times with Sarah

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with a layout for you using one of the new wooden words from Memory Maze! They are just adorable and fantastic for those scrappy layouts or even a card with the word as the feature.
For this 6x8 inch layout, I used some gelli printed paper for the background (I just love making my own patterned paper in this way!) and simply added on a photo of my youngest son having fun climbing on the kinder equipment. I snapped this shot recently when I went along for a Mother's Day afternoon tea. Given the background paper is so busy, I went for minimal embellishments on this layout.

I added some Memory maze acrylic hearts and some letter stickers to finish off the title. Some doodling with a fineliner pen to add a border and it's all finished!
If you are interested in any of the Memory Maze products, be sure to contact your local craft store or Memory Maze for your local stockist where we can place our local sales reps in contact with them. The new products for June can be found on the website at http://www.memorymaze.com.au/

Here are some close ups of the finer details!

I painted the chipboard pieces with the same lovely metallic paint as the background and included a little black here and there to match the black circles.

I also used a graduating dot stencil from Memory Maze with black texture paste to create texture over the top of metallic paint.

Scrapbook layout - There is only one you - by Lynn Good

Good morning - well march is nearly over - where is the year going?  Today I have made a layout using the beautiful double heart vintage frame.

I have used 13 Arts paper - feeling blue from the Aura Rosa Collection,  I love this paper as it is thick and withstands mixed media and larger chipboard.

I have created the background using the Memory Maze Dots and Stuff stencil and Nuvo Mousse Mother of Pearl randomly around the page.

I used gesso and a stiff brush to get a bit of texture on  the  Memory Maze double heart vintage frame before embossing it with Stampendous Embossing Enamel - Shabby Blue.

The Memory Maze title has been painted with a dark brown acrylic paint and topped with Glossy Accents.

The layout came together beautifully with the Petaloo flowers, glass beads, micro beads, Liquid pearls and Distress Glitter Dust.

'Fun in the Summer' by Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone,

Elisa here from the design team with my project for today, a colourful fun beachy layout.

To start my layout I drew a few circles using my waterproof markers in black by tracing around the outside of round containers from around my kitchen, you could use lids of plastic containers or plates etc. Then I used my Prima Watercolour Confection pans to create three large watercolour circles for my background.

Then using a gorgeous sea themed stencil from Memory maze, I used my black markers again to trace around the insides of the stencil creating turtles and bubbles and shells for my background as well.

Add some stamping...and then gesso your chipboard pieces (let dry) then colour using your watercolours or you could use colour markers or distress crayons.

Here is the link to the Memory Maze Store - http://www.memorymaze.com/ to view all the products used in this layout.

Memorable Moments by Elisa Ablett

Hi Crafters,

My turn on the Memory Maze blog today with a mixed media layout featuring loads of awesome products from the Memory Maze shop.

To start my page I used a great stencil that has combined butterflies with flourishes, always a great combo to be used on a feminine layout. I used modelling paste through the stencil to that I could apply colour over the top but still have the texture and depth of the paste underneath.

For the colourful background I used the new Lindy's Magical Shakers which as soon as I saw I knew I just had to have - as easy as spraying your page with water then shaking your colours onto the page and watch them spread!!

Here are some close ups of the major pieces used from the Memory Maze shop -
