Lucy Ohanyan ~ April DT Reveal

Hello everyone, it's my turn to share some of Memory Maze's super gorgeous chipboards and I hope you all have had a chance to get your hands on some, I can not get enough of them. The designs are so incredibly versatile and the quality of the chipboards are amazing ~

Make A Joyful Noise

This is a layout of my oldest daughter when she was about 6 months old, she's now 9. Don't ask me how or why but all three of my kids make the most unique facial expressions and thankfully I've caught a bunch of them in pics, lol ~
For those of you that know me by now, you know I absolutely love tearing up my paper, it just adds so much dimension to the layout. For this layout I used a Prima mask with texture gel and while it was still wet I misted it with Tattered Angels in Almost Black. I also added fiber ribbon, my new fave product, all over my page ~

I used the Memory Maze Vintage Lock chipboard and heat embossed it with Tim Holtz Distress Powder in Black Soot, after it cools off you have to remember to rub off the tiny crystals as this is what gives it that distress look, I then rubbed a tiny bit of Distress Stickles on top ~

For the Flower Swirl chipboard I used the Paint Dabbers in Espresso and then Gold for the flowers, after it was dry I used a bit of Distress Stickles on the flowers ~

Little Boys Are Angels Too

This is a layout of my son, and yes he gets this intense look every now and then and I was lucky enough to capture it here ~

I absolutely adore this color combination, the brown and gold play off so amazingly against the light blue. For this layout I did what I love to do which is layer, the more the better is my motto, lol. I also used the Paint Dabber in Gold for my stamping as well as for the brick stencil ~

For the Memory Maze Under Score chipboard, I first painted it with gesso and once it was dry I used the Paint Dabbers in Espresso and Gold, allowing each layer to dry before adding the other ~

I used the same process for the Vintage Corner chipboard, except I also added some glass beads to it ~

Brown Eyed Girl

And finally a layout of my middle daughter, who is a handful, as is evident in her look, lol ~
So this is a more girly layout with soft pinks and browns and touches of gold, which is another pretty color combo. Here I used a Crafters Workshop stencil with Martha Stewarts White Texture Paste and while still wet I misted it with Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Victorian Velvet and also Tattered Angels in Cork ~

For the Memory Maze Bird Cage with Bird chipboard, I heat embossed it with a shabby chic pink and white embossing powder and I added pink glass beads to the bird ~

For this Window chipboard I painted it with gesso and once it was dry I added Paint Dabber in Gold on top of it ~

For the Border Hook chipboard I used the same process as for the Window ~

Donna O'leary DT share April

Hello all,  how have you all been.  I hope you have all had time to get your hands on some crafty products and have a play.  I have been playing with some totally gorgeous Memory Maze chippie which I am about to share with you all.

Hugs and Kisses

Here I have used the Vintage corner as a whole piece and highlighted  my cluster,  I left it naked as I knew I would be adding some type of spray.
The second Vintage Corner I cut into bits,  I have used the larger part to embellish my title, again just leaving naked  as I added a light spray to it afterwards.
and the remaining bits are tucked into this cluster

Special Delivery

This was exciting to make as I have never made a step card before, shhh don't tell anyone.  I love it.  The Mother and Child frame got a coating of white paint, a dash of light blue h2o's and a sprinkle of FWAB (flourish with a bling) pearls.

Flutterbys

OK I totally love how this turned out and love the fact a parcel arrived just in time to add the finishing touches.  I made this whole project, box and all.   I have covered chipboard to make a box and then embossed over with a prima mask.  Sprayed with glimmer mist and high lighted with distress ink.

I embossed the Oval Vintage Frame in white  and then sprayed with glimmer mist to give it a bit of a distressed look.

I cut the Butterfly corner small up and stamped the butterfly with a script stamp, then inked it with two distress colours. Added a bit of bling :-)

The left over pieces from the Butterfly Corner were placed in the clusters

and sprayed with glimmer mist and inked for depth.

Tracey Campbell Design Team Share

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great Easter and welcome to April. For my first layout this month I wanted to share an Easter photo that I took of my girls a few years ago, so I teamed the photo with some of the terrific new Easter chipboard designs.

By Tracey Campbell

 Happy Easter

I wanted a soft look to the chipboard to compliment the photos so I simply painted the chippy with white Gesso and added a touch of Ice Stickles. From the close ups you can see that it is certainly an effect technique.

Baby Girl

I have used two different chipboard products in this layout of Paige, my youngest daughter. I wanted to dress the chippy up a bit so I have used a variety of techniques, I will explain more of the techniques in the close up photos that follow below.

I heat embossed a fine butterfly stamp with holographic embossing power and white Versa Ink onto the raw chipboard then painted some mist over the top, the embossing resisted the painted mist and left a lovely looking delicate butterfly. Next I cut off the small butterfly and heat embossed it with an aqua embossing powder and finished off with a bit of stickles to give a little more sparkle. On the leaves and the vines I used my Copic Markers to give a very light colour.

With the title "Baby Girl" I once again grabbed the holographic embossing power, but this time with a Petal Pink Versa Ink. Once I heated it up I thought that the pink was too light so I inked with a darker pink and used more of the holographic embossing power over the top. To finish off the title I adhered the small butterfly that I cut off the "Butterfly Corner" on top of the dot over the letter "I".

Wish

In this layout of my oldest daughter Bronte I have used four different chipboard pieces that I wanted to be highlighted so I grabbed my black ink and simply coated them all black. Such a simple technique but so stunning and effective when used in bulk.

Together

I love it when my girls sit together long enough so I can get a photo of them. Such "chalk and cheese" in looks and everything that they do. On this layout you may recognise the chipboard hearts from my post last month, they are some of the pop out centres from the Heart Frames, they have gone such a long way and I still have more left over to use.
Another simple but effective technique used; I just painted them with pink acrylic paint and attached either some gems or a twine bow.

Sweet Girl

I wanted a kind of modern vintage look to this layout as I really love the photo of Paige with the goggles and the swimming cap on and the Instagram touch added a whole olden day feel. I have teamed the Memory Maze chipboard with some white paint and clear gem stones for a classic look.
