I believe in ART by Suzanne Franin

Hey Everyone Suzanne here

This week is my turn on the Blog and I created a mini canvas with a quote I thought most craft/art people would understand and appreciate
Make sure to check out the rest of Blog and take a look at everything else that's going on over there

I painted all the chipboard with white gesso first to prime it all for what I was going to do next

On the frame I used the Frank Garcia Artisan Powders to make the chipboard look like timber

The Colour Shimmer Sprays I used in Just Blue, Singing the Blues, Envy and Snow White I used to make my painting in my frame and add to the jar of water to make it look like it had been used for the painting and the Bling I used on the paper clay key hole I painted a few layers to get the depth of colour I wanted

Colour Paste in Fire Engine, Sunshine and Singing the Blues not that you can see the Sunshine through the Paint Brush Stencil Jar splats to add to the art part of the canvas
It's a great stencil as it has the jar, the brushes and the splats

I also used the Colour Shimmer Spray Fire Engine Spray on the handles of the scissors painting it on a few times so it came out nice and deep and then used some Finnabair Old Silver Wax on the blades to make them look more like real scissors lol

On the border I used Colour Shimmer Cube Tangerine Dream
I added a Heart from Charms Creations and a flair button from It's and Bits Craft Supplies
And loads of flowers lol

One by Suzanne Franin

Hey Everyone Suzanne here

My project this week was centred around this frame I found at an Op Shop I love looking for different things this time I found some more frames
It had no back to it just the frame and I knew I had this photo at home of my daughter and son in law from their wedding
I just love it, she was really upset after dancing with her father (she's a very shy person and was very embarrassed having everyone watch her dance) so when she finally got to dance with Dave he had to calm her down and the photographer caught him kiss her on the top of the head it's so beautiful

I have a YouTube video of the process so please make sure you take a look and subscribe to my channel

I attached the frame to a canvas with some Helmar Super-Tac Glue

I then covered the canvas and frame with white gesso (the frame was painted white but not very well you could see it had been silver underneath)

On the canvas I used the Door Wire Stencil this is one of my favourite patterns and I used it with some Colour Paste Snow White I love how it has the shimmer to it

Here you can see the shimmer of the Colour Paste Snow White

I used silver leaf on one of the Flourish's from the 12 x 12 Flourish Corner Set just for a pop as well as little bits on around the frame

This quote was on the Program that was handed out at the wedding and I thought it was perfect for this photo (well I could probably use it for a lot of the photos that were taken on the day)
I had a paper clay scroll and I used some silver leaf on that too

I had bought this Pearl and Bling pendant and was waiting to use it on something special
You know how you hang onto things just incase (well I do) well this was perfect for this project
I love metal and have a huge stash of bits and pieces and thought this double heart would go nice on the corner of the frame just right

I used some sheer material on the background which looks like bridal veil material just to add another  texture and layer

And as always I added some little white flowers but before I put them in the frame I used some Colour Embossing Powder Snow White It's so pretty it has bits of bling in it ( the only bad bit is it gets everywhere so I have sparkles all over the place)
I used another of my metal piece LOVE cause thats what these two have for each other nothing but love and it showed even more on the day
Around inner edge of the frame I rubbed some Inka-Gold Silver to tie the silver leaf

Well that's it for me I hope you enjoyed my project

Thanks for visiting and I hope you will be back soon x

Young and Free by Suzanne Franin

Hey Everyone Suzanne here

Here's my project I created using some of the Memory Maze Laser Cuts Chipboard and a Stencil
Make sure to check out the rest of the BLOG to see the what the Design Team have created and get some inspiration for your next project

I saw this photo of my cousin and thought it was awesome so I had to use it

I used Young and Free from the Young Wild and Free set, the feathers and arrows from the Boho Deer Skull with Feathers and the Pebbles Stencil on the background all from Memory Maze

On the background I mixed some Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Dusts - Colour Midnight and Colour Cobalt to try and get a deep blue but it didn't go as dark as I thought which in the end was a good thing I think it would have made the photo darker

I then used some Colour Blast Colour Paste Stormy Weather through the Pebbles Stencil for some texture and dimension and it also framed the photo

I painted all the chipboard with white gesso and left it like that I think that's all it need with this photo

I added some Prima Art Stones mixed with some Helmar  Gem Stone Glue randomly and that was enough the photo didn't need anything else

Flowerpot Frame by Suzanne Franin

Hey Everyone Suzanne here

This project was lots of fun

A friend was getting rid of a few old craft bits she had and thought of me so I was the lucky recipient of some half terracotta pots, some straw and a few other things that will get used at some stage I'm sure

This project I used the Thistle Flowers and Flourish Corner Set from Memory Maze
Make sure you check out the Blog to see what great creations the Design Team create with the fantastic products Memory Maze make

I made a YouTube Video of the process so make sure you take a look and give me thumbs up and subscribe to my channel x

The back of the frame I covered with tissue paper using a couple of layers to give a bit of depth
I glued the pot to the frame with Helmar Super-Tac Glue as this glue hold just about anything

I painted the frame and the pot with white gesso then made a mix of water and Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Dust Midnight
After the Colour Shimmer Dust Midnight dried I used the Colour Blast Colour Clear Shimmer Brush Marker I dripped a couple of drops onto another brush so I didn't get any colour onto the Colour Clear Shimmer Brush Marker I love sparkle the more the better

I painted the medium flourish from the Memory Maze Flourish Corner Set with the Colour Blast Colour Mica Powder Watermelon and clear gesso

Then the Memory Maze Thistle Flowers I used Colour Mica Powders in Lemon Zing, Peach Nectar and Polar

I used some Helmar Scrap Dots glue to raise the Memory Maze Thistle Flowers off the back of the frame to add some dimension to the project I also used some Helmar Tacky Craft glue

I gave the whole project two coats of the Helmar Crystal Kote Gloss Varnish to give a nice shine to everything and a bit of protection from dust

Picture Perfect by Suzanne Franin

Hey Everyone Suzanne here

Make sure you check out what's happening on the Facebook page to keep up to date with what's new on the Memory Maze Store and then let your local store know so they can have the products you need

Today I created a frame with a picture of girl from a magazine which I fussy cut out and decorated it with a few bits and pieces from my stash just for something different

I painted the frame with black gesso then with some graphite texture paste I used the Door Wire Stencil over the background of the frame (I took the glass out and put that aside as I don't use that)

I then used some Linda's Magical Shakers - Alpine Ice RoseGrab a Guy GoldCowabunga Copper and I added a little bit of the Creme Brûlée Cream from the Sweet Treat Shimmer Set but I wasn't happy with that so that got covered up

I used the 2nd largest flourish from the Flourish Corner Set and covered it with Finnabair Art Alchemy Antique Brilliance Red Amber Wax and wasn't happy with it so I then went over it with some Metallique Rose Gold Wax
I also used the Metallique Rose Gold Wax over some of the metal embellishments

With the magazine lady I liked the way her hair was styled except there was writing in it so I went over it with some brown paint and tried to follow the way it was styled with the brown paint
Then when I was glueing her down I added a bit of tissue under her hair to give it some dimension
I glued the flourish to her hair like a tiara and added a metal embellishment and some pearls

I then added my embellishments to the corners of the frame a few metal pieces a couple of velum flowers, a flower that I have had forever and it was perfect with the rose gold flourish that I used on her hair

I gave her a drop pearl and diamond earring

When I was happy with everything I added the Colour Blast Clear Shimmer Brush Marker to her face so she has a gorgeous shimmer to her

I also added it to the vellum flowers and butterfly - it gave them a more transparent look
