Book Cover by Suzanne Franin

Hey Everyone Suzanne here

My turn on the  blog today and I thought I'd decorate the front of a book I got cheap out shopping the other day

Make sure you check out the rest of the blog for great inspiration from the Design Team and see what's new at the Memory Maze Website as the Boss seems to have a great imagination and brings new things out all the time

I'm not sure if I'll use this as a note book or as an Art Journal yet but I'm sure it will get used eventually

I found this book in a store for $5

I then used black gesso with a roller it gave it such a smooth finish

In this corner I added a paper clay ceiling rose a metal piece and the Mini Frayed Edge Chiffon Rhinestone Flower Light Pink with a few little white flowers
The pink chiffon flower is so pretty I could use it on everything LOL

I started buy putting the Scribble Frames Two and Embellishments down, I added a doily then added some straws that I cut at different lengths, I then put a silver metal circle under the Owl Swirly
I added the key to the side and some muslin to the other side

I used some Pineapple Fusion I won from The Resin Rainbow it came with a whole bag of goodies then I added a paper clay ring of flowers over the top to make it look a bit like a wreath on a door with a little resin heart
Along with the paper clay key hole
Then I added the Wrought Iron 30 to look like some iron work on the door

I added lots of the timber bits that you get with your canvases and then added one of the globes from the Globes set

I used a metal that had diamonds around the edge and added some flowers along with some Mermaid Beads

I had some of the Chicken Wire Small I cut it into two pieces and used it in two of the corners of the book
I used a metal corner and added a glass bead as well as some Mermaid Beads and some Diamond Gems

I love flair buttons and this one is from Flutterby Designs
The little camera was from The Resin Rainbow as well
I went around and added bling and Mermaid beads where I thought they were needed

Then I used some Finnabair Art Alchemy acrylic paint that's gone a bit thick- I used my finger, so I rubbed it over everything then I used some Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Dust in Lollipop that I have made up in a bottle with water spraying as I went till I was happy with the finish
And I glued everything down with Helmar Premium Craft Glue

I had a tassel so I attached some string so I could use it to mark what page I was up to in the book

I raised the photo up with some cardboard and glued it with the Helmar Acid free glue the rest of the chipboard I used the Helmar Tacky Craft Glue
On the Best Buddies I used Finnabair Metallique Wax in Old Silver but then went over it with Fire Ruby because the words didn't stand out enough

On all the Cogs and Pulleys12 x 12 All there is is Cogs for everything and the Clock Face I used the Finnabair Metallique Old Silver Wax

Altered Canvas-By Leanne Nankervis

Hi Everyone!
Leanne back to share another project with you today, using Memory Maze Products.

Altered Paint brush Canvas

Today I'm sharing another altered project with you today a canvas with and old paint brush and lots of Memory Maze Chipboard.

I used 2 canvases as my base, which I painted in heavy black gesso. My middle canvas I adhered with the inside facing up. I had a lot of the Memory Maze Tags which I wanted to use up, so these became my base elements under my paint brush. I adhered  my clusters of chipboard cogs to my canvas, and added elements to my paint brush some Memory Maze chipboard wings and some small flourishes, along with some Finnabair metals and beads. I covered this all again with the black gesso, then I added Finnabairs red rust paste along with some of the patina and blue rust pastes to my background. I repeated the same with my top canvas, but using the whole patina rust paste set with the metallic paint. I added highlights to my chipboard using some metallic paints and waxes.

Merry Christmas with Sarah

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with you to show some more brooch cards using the gorgeous new Australian Christmas designs by Memorymaze.
I'm sure you'd have to agree that the designs are beautiful- extending from my last post to now include a Wombat, kangaroo, koala and a platypus all with cute Santa hats on!

The designs pictured above are Aussie Christmas tree and kangaroo, koala and pelican in Christmas stocking - so adorable. The extensive Christmas range of wood veneer, chipboard and acrylic pieces can be found online at www.memorymaze.com.au
These pieces would look fantastic on Christmas cards, off the page projects, scrapbook layouts. The animals are also available without the Santa hats for a more generic use. Hope you enjoyed this post and it inspired you to get crafty!

Butterfly by Suzanne Franin

Hey Everyone Suzanne

This weeks project I created a canvas with a quote that I  think a lot of us should listen too especially me

Make sure you visit our Facebook Page Memory Maze to see what's happening and keep up to date with what's going on

The photo is very dark so I wanted to go with soft colours to make it look how we should feel after the change - different

It's a simple canvas with not a lot on it but I wanted the quote to speak for itself and the embellishments. just to soften it

I started off by using the Door Wire Stencil in random places on the background paper (I love this stencil it works with anything you're doing)
I then mixed a bit of Colour Blast Colour Paste -Blush and Sunshine each with a bit of water to make a thin paint consistency so I could make it drip through the lines of the stencil the Sunshine worked great but I think I put too much water with the Blush

On the Butterfly Corner Flourish I spritzed some Colour Shimmer Dust in Sunshine first and then a little bit of Lollipop I have them made up already in bottles very lightly over the top

With the Heart with Wire insert I spritzed that with the Colour Shimmer Dust in Peacock for a contrast

Here you can see the Sunshine Colour Past in the grooves of the stencil

I then just finished off with my favourite embellishment - flowers and some tiny metal pieces and that's it

Just for you card with Candy

Hi everyone
I am back from a little break and ready to ctreate again.
Today I have made a lovely little girls card.
Using a fancy scroll and a word phrase.

I have started with a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inch card base.
I cut the first pattern paper layer at 51/4x51/4 inches.
The second is cut from white glitter paper
and it is cut at 5 x 5 inches.
The third is using another pattern paper and cut that one at
4 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches
Distress around the edges of all three then tape the first two onto the
card base.
The third pattern paper curl the right top corner
use a little glue to hold this in place. Then tape onto the card using foam tape.
I have matted my photo and put foam tape underneath to raise it up.
Now for the corner swirl and the word phrase
all I did was give them a couple of coats of white ink.
When dry glue onto your card.
Add a little piece of lace under the corner roll and then add some flowers
to finish off.
