I am Woman, Hear me roar

 Good morning team, Fi here, I hope everyone was able to have a lovely Christmas. Today I have on the blog a journal page I created using serviettes and a very old magazine picture from the 1940's! I pulled all the backing paper from the serviettes so I was left just with the printed side. I then collaged them onto my page using mod podge.

 I selected a picture of a lady from my old magazine stash cutting around her and gluing her down. I painted the chipboard words with Seth Apter izink pigment in lychee and Royal gold. Once dried I used a glue stick to stick on the chipboard.

{Joy}

Hey there crafty people and thank you for stopping by the Memory Maze blog! It's Melissa A with you today and as you all know, there is only 1 day until Christmas!!!!

So to keep with the Christmas theme, I thought I would do something different for my Memory Maze DT project this time and this is what I came up with...

I used a cardboard stocking cut out from Memory Maze and covered it with some music notes card stock. I then stenciled on top of that using some white gesso and while it was still wet, sprinkled glitter on top of it to make it sparkle.

I then attached a star/clock cut out for the background and attached a Memory Maze lantern chipboard on top, which I covered using some gold gilding flakes.

I then arranged and attached my flowers and embellishments.

I heat embossed some Memory Maze Tribal border chipboard with some African ancient gold embossing powder and also did this to some Memory Maze snowflakes chipboard.

To finish off this project, I added some white crystal snow, some gold crushed glass and some sparkly fluff sugar.

I also added the Memory Maze acrylic 'Joy' title to which I covered with white crystal snow as well.

I hope you liked my last DT project for 2020....I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and make the most of the situation we all find ourselves in.

I will be back next year with some more Memory Maze crafty inspiration for you all. Until then...Happy Crafting and Happy Holidays! :)

Aussie Christmas

 Good morning everyone, Fiona here on this cheery monday. For this weeks blog post I have created a cover page in my art journal for all things Christmas this year. I started with a background in my Art by Marlene A4 journal in which I arranged some Tim Holtz stencils onto the page and sprayed them with Dylusions spray ink in postbox red. I then moved the Holiday knit stencil and used it to fill in the gaps.

Whilst the page was drying I used Tim Holtz' new distress spray stain in crackling campfire to blend the colours and fill in some of the white space. I set the page aside to dry and tore out two pages from an old encyclopaedia spraying them with distress oxides in twisted citron, mowed lawn and rustic wilderness. I also used the rustic wilderness distress ink to colour the chipboard.

Once dried I used various leafy die cuts and cut multiple of each. I glued the individual leaves to the chipboard wreath.

I coloured in part the kookaburra chipboard with posca pens for the santa hat and distress crayon for the branch as it gives a different textured look. I then glued the bird onto the wreath.

Since it is a Christmas page after all I added the title...... ready for all the Christmas crafts to follow,

Happy Monday!!

{Paradise}

Hey there crafters! Melissa A here on the Memory Maze blog today and with it being Summer here in Australia, I have created a beautiful tropical layout to share with you all.

I have used card stock from the 3Quarter Designs 'Beach House' collection and ephemera from Mintay's 'Paradise' collection.

I did some background stencilling using some white 3D modelling paste and Memory Maze Heart Frames chipboard, which I heat embossed with various embossing powders (See product list below).

I also used some Memory Maze chicken wire chipboard, which was heat embossed with embossing powder as well.
To finish off this tropical layout, I added some flowers from Autumn Lane, some large art stones and some pink & blue beads for some sparkle.

I hope you liked this tropical layout and it has inspired you to create some 'Summer' inspired layouts.

That's all from me today, have a wonderful week and happy crafting! :)
