Misty Willis~April DT Reveal

Hello everyone!
I hope you all are enjoying all of the fabulous projects and ideas that our super talented DT has been sharing!  I know I have been enjoying them!
It is a beautiful spring season here in my part of the US...I am down in Houston Texas, where the sun is shining and the flowers are blooming.  Most especially the Texas Bluebonnet!  I LOVE this flower, and I jump on every opportunity to photograph my kids in the bluebonnet fields.

Here is a layout featuring
 My Little Girls:

I used several pieces of chipboard in this layout.
All of which I painted with acrylic paints and sprinkled with glitter.
Below is a close up of the title piece:

Next up is my layout

More Than Friends

This is featuring the photos that I took of my oldest son and his girlfriend in the bluebonnets.
It took FOREVER to persuade this girl to wear a "girly" blouse!
She is all about T-shirts and wind pants...not a girly girl at all.
I LOVE how the photos came out, though!
And aren't the bluebonnets just spectacular!!

Here are a couple of close up shots of the chippy pieces that I used:

I used acrylic paints for these pieces also.
I was going to stick with only blue colors, but the purples seemed to make the layout just POP!
My son was so proud of this layout that he took a picture of it with his phone and sent it to his girlfriend.  It was adorable!   I am so glad that my hobby makes even my oldest BOY happy!
Because honestly...scrapbooking with Chippies makes ME happy!

Next is is a card that I did.
This is just a fun one for my Mom for Mother's Day which is quickly approaching!
I used the 3D stackums for this.
Those things are soooo stinkin' easy to use and make perfectly adorable little cards!

Thank you for visiting us today!
Have a wonderful week!

  2. Beautiful creations with lovely details. The chippies add so much dimension to the layouts, and so do the stackum sheet on the card. TFS!
