A Day In May ~ Lucy Ohanyan

Hi everyone hope you guys had a wonderful weekend, and I also hope you've been enjoying all the incredible inspirations that have been coming your way from our amazingly talented design team ~
It's my turn to share and I'm starting the week off with some layouts using the gorgeous Memory Maze chipboards ~

A Day For Play

This is a layout of my middle daughter when she was about 6 months old, always getting into things and so incredibly determined, she's now 4 and still exactly the same, lol.
I had so much fun with this one, using Lindy's Stamp Gang mists and liquid mediums mixed with my paints, to create this still wet looking paint drippings, if you actually saw the layout it looks like melted sugar candy, my new fave technique mixing my mediums with paint ~

Here is a closeup of one of Memory Maze's gorgeous flourish swirl chipboards, I used Lindy's Stamp Gang to mist with and let the "paint drippings" flow all over it ~

and here are some more closeups ~

Daughter's Are The Flowers Of Life

This is a layout of my eldest daughter when she was about 6 years old, she's now 9 ~
Most of the time when I begin a layout I don't know which direction my colors are going to go, I allow the layout to sort of do that for me, it almost chooses its own colors, which is really important in my opinion because your color palette is such a huge factor of the layout and you want the colors to speak to one another ~

I absolutely adore chipboard fences, not only because they look great but also they are so incredibly versatile, here I used the adorable Picket Fence chipboard from Memory Maze cut it into 4 pieces and thereafter the only treatment I gave it was a coating of Distress Crackle Paint in Picket Fence, so fitting, lol ~

here are some more closeups for you ~

So Handsome

So here's a layout of the other man in my life, my amazing little boy ~
If any of you know my layouts by now, you'll know that I love tearing up my papers, it just adds so much dimension to the layout, I used a stencil on this one and while my medium was still wet I misted it with Tattered Angels ~

Here is a closeup of the Wrought Iron Corner chipboard from Memory Maze, I stamped this with a swirly patterned stamp then used Tim Holtz Distress Powder in Black Soot and heat embossed it, you have to remember to rub it after it cools off in order to release the crystal particles and give it that distress look, and there after I used a bit of Distress Stickles in Black Soot on top ~

And some more closeups ~

Till next time,
Thanks for looking,
Hugs,
Lucy
